deep health knowledge,
proven media experience

Jacqui is one of the most experienced editors and content directors in Australia, with an intimate knowledge of the health and media landscape. She clearly understands how to transform brands for the better, and has grown three major health media platforms over the past decade.

For five years, Jacqui led the Australian edition of Women’s Health, a brand that helped pioneer the health media market since its local launch in 2007. During this time, it constantly broke new ground and reported on every major issue that matters to women, from endometriosis to emotional resilience.

A specialist in ideating and creating editorial content and communications strategy that extends well beyond the magazine page, Jacqui has worked closely with high-profile talent and major Australian brands to tell powerful stories that resonate deeply across a wide range of media platforms.

In addition to launching content-led event properties including Celeb Sweats, Secret Sweats, Women’s Health Talks and nutrition-based offering Well Fed, Jacqui also worked on the brand’s biggest consumer-facing event Fit Night Out, collaborating with naming rights partners including Garnier and Samsung.

In 2018, she hosted the first commercially-backed podcast at Pacific Magazines – speaking to game-changing women including endurance athlete Samantha Gash, Stylerunner CEO Julie Stevanja, PE Nation’s Pip Edwards, author Sarah Wilson and Paralympian Jess Gallagher, the only Australian athlete to medal at both the Summer and Winter games.

But her editorial vision wasn’t just confined to Australia. Alongside brother brand Men’s Health, in early 2019, Jacqui secured a global cover exclusive with Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky, to coincide with the launch of fitness app Centr. Shot on location over two days in Byron Bay for the Hearst International network – the high-profile shoot ran simultaneously on the cover of Women’s Health and Men’s Health in 22 countries around the world.

Prior to Women’s Health, Jacqui was the editor of Prevention, a healthy lifestyle title for women 40+. While in the role, she created National Prevention Week and partnered with some of Australia’s most influential women to raise awareness of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, heart disease and mental health, an editorial campaign that generated $10 million in publicity over a four-year period.

At Pacific+ Custom, she relaunched Weight Watchers magazine, transforming the title from its previous members-only model to a mainstream newsstand product selling 70,000 copies a month. During that time, Jacqui diversified its editorial content, oversaw the production of 25 pages of recipe development every month, and won a gold award for Best Full Health Issue at the Folio Awards in New York.
